In many Indo-European languages, Europe is often referred to as “old Europe” or “the old continent” due to its impressive historical background, rich culture and many, many traditions and customs. What is truly amazing is that although European countries share a common past, each of them has preserved its own strong national identity, a fact that makes it special and unique. It is no wonder that this part of the world attracts millions of visitors from all over the globe every year. If we were to mention some of the most popular destinations in Europe, then France, Spain, Italy, Greece and Great Britain would immediately come to our mind as the five most visited countries in Europe. All of them have the potential to impress tourists thanks to their very interesting history, which has resulted in many outstanding archaeological sites, their amazing culture and breathtaking scenery. So, in this case why would you decide to go to Spain instead of France or Italy, for example, when it is clear that all these countries have what it takes to just fall in love with them? The answer is the Spanish people. You can visit world-famous museums, exquisite cathedrals and majestic castles or lay on sandy beaches and go hiking or skiing in any of these countries, but you can be sure that you will not meet such nice and welcoming people as in Spain. Wherever you go in Spain, you will generally be welcomed with open arms. If you can make a little effort to learn some Spanish vocabulary and/or a few Spanish phrases, people will very much appreciate it and welcome you even more. Therefore, if you want to go to a country that can offer you plenty of places to see and lots of things to do, but also make you feel like home, then Spain is the right choice for you!
