...Courses for teachers of Spanish

Are you a teacher of Spanish? Would you like to gain more in-depth knowledge of the Spanish language and/or improve your proficiency?

spaans_voor_docenten

Our language institutes in Spain offer various programmes especially for non-native teachers of Spanish. The purpose of these courses is to give professional support to teachers of Spanish by supplying and interchanging information on the development of the language and the new ‘street’-use of Spanish. Also controversial and formal aspects of the Spanish grammar will be considered.

During these specific courses you will be kept informed on recent educational methods in the teaching of Spanish and various educational perspectives on tuition. The courses deal with the practical and theoretical aspects of instruction that are very important for all teachers of Spanish, with particular attention to the use of the various teaching aids (audio-visual, internet, games, written data, etc.), various types of instruction, assessment of the acquisition process, answers to possible problems, etc.

...Scholarships for teachers of Spanish

If you are a teacher of Spanish, you may qualify for a LINGUA-scholarship (for which teachers within the European Community are eligible) as well as a ‘Comenius post-graduate’ course for teachers (going to Spain on a grant of 1500 Euros on average), as follows:

LINGUA

The aims of the Lingua-scholarships are to promote the teaching and the learning of languages, to support the linguistic variety of the Union and to stimulate the improvement of the quality of structures and systems in the field of languages teaching. For more information: http://ec.europa.eu/education/programmes/socrates/lingua/lingua1_nl.html

COMENIUS
The so-called ‘Comenius post-graduate’ scholarship (part of the EU-programme ‘Lifelong learning’) is meant for teachers (of Spanish) and covers course, accommodation, meals and travelling expenses.

The Comenius scholarship is meant for teachers of Spanish in secondary education and in training colleges. Teachers of Spanish in adult education may qualify for the so-called ‘Grundtvig’-scholarship.

We would advise anyone interested to contact the European Platform. Watch the deadlines carefully!
